DeSantis DJ is proud to host Sweet 16 events that are guaranteed to fill your dancefloor and create an exciting, memorable party for the birthday celebrant and her friends. DeSantis Entertainment online planning forms lets you choose musical titles from a database of over 75,000 songs (including the latest club, hip hop, top 40 dance and edm) you can also choose songs from the DeSantis DJs song planner for the candle lighting ceremony and Father-Daughter Dance. In addition, if you plan on having a themed party DeSantis Entertainment can provide the music to match your theme.

Our experienced DJ/Emcee will play the appropriate music as guests arrive, then introduce the Sweet 16 in a high energy grand entrance, and then quickly get guests on the dance floor. After dinner, the lights are dimmed, the music volume is raised, our Gigbar 2.0 fires up, and the dancefloor gets filled with all the celebrant’s friends and family. Later in your event I will guide you through the candle lighting ceremony (optional) and lead the singing of “Happy Birthday”

Your choice of either a Karaoke or Music Video add on. Karaoke includes up to four wireless microphones, monitor, song books and request slips. Music video includes a 50-inch monitor. Due to the explicit nature of many music videos, clients are required to preview songs that they may be interested in having at their affair on YouTube to ensure they would want them played.

What is the candle lighting ceremony? The ceremony is a way to honor those guests that have made a difference in the celebrant’s life.
The following is a general guideline but can be customized for each party.

The first candle is dedicated to her parents
The second candle may be dedicated to the next-closest family member, such as brothers or sisters or grandparents
The third to sixth candles are usually for aunts, uncles, cousins, or other close family members.
The seventh to 14^th candles are dedicated to the birthday girl’s closest friends
The 15^th candle is for the birthday girl’s best friend
The 16^th candle is reserved for an important other or best male friend
The 17^th candle is reserved to make a wish or for good luck
